If you live or work in Burien, you’re eligible to receive a free ORCA card with two weeks unlimited travel and to earn additional rewards from local businesses.
The Travel Options Challenge is underway! The Challenge runs from August 18th until September 15th and gives you a chance to earn online medals, create a team with friends, family or coworkers, and earn entries into awesome reward drawings, including the Grand Prize – 6 months free from CrossFit Burien and a free meal every week for a year from Maven Mercantile!
Participating in the Challenge is easy:
1) Register for Burien In Motion and activate your account.
(WABI Burien has a team! Join our team when you sign up for the In Motion program.)
2) Login and start logging the trips you switch from driving alone to walking, biking, transit or carpooling
The Burien In Motion program continues until October 20th.
Log at least two trips during any single week of the challenge to be entered into that week’s reward drawing for great prizes from local businesses. Log at least two round trips per week for all four weeks of the challenge and be entered into the Grand Prize reward drawing for 6 months free at CrossFit Burien and a free meal every week for a year at Maven Mercantile! If you qualify, you’ll get one entry for every round trip you log, so log more than 2 trips per week for extra entries.
Continue logging your round trips throughout the Challenge period to achieve medals and entries into the medal reward drawings. Achieve Platinum and you’ll be entered into all four medal reward drawings! In addition, anyone who achieves Platinum receives 1 month free at CrossFit Burien!
• Bronze (4 trips total): $25 at Burien Grocery Outlet
• Silver (8 trips total): $50 at Mark Restaurant & Bar
• Gold (12 trips total): $75 at the Highline Athletic Club
• Platinum (16 trips total): Shop Local Super Pack – over $100 value! – $25 at Bison Creek Pizza, $25 at Maven Mercantile, 2 Days at Paws & Relax Doggy Day Care, and $25 at Serenza Salon & Spa.
• Create a team, get at least 3 people to join it, earn team medals, and compete for a $200 gift certificate at Elliott Bay Brewery. The team with the highest average trips per team member wins – what a perfect way to celebrate!
