Don’t forget – Special 10-mile walks in Burien and Tukwila May 23, 24, 25

Don’t forget the special 10-mile walks put on by Seattle Sound Striders on their 3 days of walks south of Seattle, two of the days here in Burien: May 23, 24 and 25 (as we first reported HERE). (The Sound Striders are affiliated with Seattle Parks & Recreation.) Walkers may take part in all, some or part of these walks, depending on their ability.

Just print out the map for the day(s) you’d like to tackle and show up at the meeting place, ready for a prompt departure at 9:30.  See details below.

Burien West – Downtown Burien to Gregory Heights,
Seahurst Park and Return via Chelsea Park

Highlights:  Puget Sound views, Lake Burien Park, Seahurst Park, Burien Community Garden
Meeting Place:  9:30 a.m., Grand Central Bakery, 526 SW 152nd, Burien


  • Each walk is 10-11 miles.
  • Pack your lunch (a picnic) and water.
  • Start time is 9:30 a.m. all three days.
  • Happy Hour at the end of each day. 
  • Plan to take the bus or plan your own parking.
