Walk with the F.S. Family Wanderers on Sept. 16

F.S. Family Wanderers Invite You to Take a Walk in
Beacon Hill & Columbia City, Seattle, WA

5 Km (3.1 Miles) / 10 Km (6.2 Miles)

Enjoy an urban walk across Beacon Hill on sidewalks and a portion of the paved Chief Sealth Trail, with views of the city.

The 10 km route also includes a long gravel path downhill through the peaceful Cheasty Greenspace, part of the Olmstead Legacy. See newly landscaped neighborhoods along the light rail route, explore historic Columbia City, and return up Beacon Hill.

5 KM is rated 1A, 10 KM is rated 2B. (10 KM route is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.)

Start/Finish: St Mark’s Lutheran Church
6020 Beacon Ave S, Seattle, WA
Start Time: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Finish Time: 4:00 pm

Award: Credit only is $3.00. Free participants are welcome, but all must register, carry, and return a start card. B-Award pins and patches will be available for purchase.

Miscellaneous: Water and restrooms at start and at checkpoint. Pets are permitted but NOT in buildings. Owners responsible for leash and clean up laws.

Challenges: (Not all available on 5 KM route.)

ESVA: Restaurants (American, Asian, European), Womb to Tomb (School, Vows), King County

AVA: Bridges, Cities in Song, Ice Cream Parlors, National Register of Historic Places, Take a Walk in a City Park, Volcanoes, Walk the USA – Street to Street, You’ll Never Walk Alone

Directions:

I-5 Northbound: Exit # 161 (Swift Ave S/ Albro Place). LEFT on Swift Ave S. First RIGHT onto S Graham St. LEFT on Beacon Ave S. St Marks Lutheran Church on RIGHT.

USE ON STREET PARKING, NOT THE CHURCH LOT. 

I-5 Southbound: Exit # 161 (Swift Ave S/ Albro Place). LEFT on Albro Place. Cross freeway and turn RIGHT on Swift Ave S. Take third LEFT onto S Graham St. Continue as above.

Metro Transit: Route # 36.
