Grab your galoshes and let’s have our Walk-n-Talk where we haven’t walked yet. Let’s go to the far northwest corner of Burien, to the hilly Shorewood neighborhood with views out toward the water.

WABI-Rain Walk

Some of the goals of the monthly Walk-n-Talks include:

  • Establishing Burien Town Square as a meeting point, “the living room of the city”
where friends gather for company and conversation.
  • Exploring the various neighborhoods of Burien.

Sometimes one goal excludes the other. We can’t start at Town Square and walk to and around Shorewood… unless we want a looooooong walk. So this time we’ll meet in Shorewood and wander up and down the hills there to see what we can see.

  • Date: Sunday March 5, 2017
(Rain or shine. If you bring your umbrella, you won’t need it… right?
We’ll have a good time whether it’s raining or not!)
  • Time: Meet at 2:00 p.m. Start walking at 2:15 p.m.
  • Location: Shorewood Elementary School Entrance (North side of the building).
2725 SW 116th St, Burien, WA 98146 (How about carpooling with other walkers?)
  • Who: Everyone is invited and welcomed to join in (including friendly four-legged friends).
  • Route: The total route is about 2 miles. We start up high, at the school, then drop down close to sea level, then back up again. There are sidewalks only here and there. So, it’s hilly… just sayin’.
